What I Learned on My Summer Vacation

Outrigger Serenity Terraces Resort in Phuket Participates in “Keeping Phuket Clean”
By Panjama Leamsuwan

The staff of the Outrigger Serenity Terraces Resort (TST) participated in the community outreach effort “Keeping Phuket Clean,” by cleaning up Rawai beach
The latest initiative launched by the Summer in Phuket campaign is a community outreach effort called “Keeping Phuket Clean,” designed to help keep the beaches of Phuket sparkling clean over Summer Season – May through November. The program officially launched with the Clean Phuket Day, on Thursday May 28, 2009, and the staff of the Outrigger Serenity Terraces Resort (TST), along with staff from other hotels and members of the community, helped clean Rawai beach. This project was especially important to the TST, as it sits adjacent to the beach with no public road in between.
“‘Keeping Phuket Clean’ is our way of integrating the Summer in Phuket campaign into daily life of people living and working in Phuket’s different beach areas,” says Nick Anthony, Summer in Phuket spokesperson. “The program includes a general review of the beach infrastructure and an ongoing action plan for the community cleaning of each beach in Phuket in conjunction with an overall education strategy.”
Mahalo to the TST staff for volunteering their time to ensure our guests have the best experience possible.
