Outrigger Welcomes Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach

A new chapter has begun for the Kelley-built buildings originally known as the Outrigger Waikiki Surf (1970) and Outrigger Waikiki Surf East (1969) hotels. Re-branded OHANA properties in 1999, then for a short period as a Doubletree in 2005, and most recently as The Wyland Waikiki, the hotel donned a new name on Monday, June 1, as the Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach. June Entertainment at Waikiki Beach Walk®

The sizzling summer just got hotter at Waikiki Beach Walk®, as Outrigger Enterprises Group continues to sponsor two popular free kama‘aina concert series — the bi-monthly Na Mele No Na Pua concert and the weekly Sunday Showcase music series. Hundreds of locals and visitors alike gather at Waikiki Beach Walk plaza every Sunday afternoon to be serenaded by various talented island musicians. Hosted by Jeff Apaka, the Sunday Showcase concert series offers scores of talented musicians from various genres, including Jazz, Hawaiian, Local Island Folk Songs, Contemporary, and R & B. Kani Ka Pila Grille June, July, and August Entertainment Line-up

It’s been a wonderful start for Kani Ka Pila Grille at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach. Kama‘aina, as well as our visitors to the island, are enjoying the great food, relaxing setting, and outdoor experience. Chef Harold Beltran’s Pacific Rim-influenced menu, including such daily specials as Calamari Poke, Potato Wrapped Mahi Mahi, and Mango Crème Brulee (my favorite) to name a few, have won rave reviews by diners.
