On January 7, employees at the OHANA Waikiki East gathered to bid aloha to Yuk Hong Lee, who retired after 21 years of dedicated service. Barry Wallace, Dr. Chuck Kelley, Ruthann Yamanaka, Chuck Shishido, and Alan Naito expressed their appreciation on behalf of Outrigger Hotels & Resorts for her hard work and contribution. Gifts of aloha and recognition were also presented.
Yuk Hong has worked as a Housekeeper at the OHANA Waikiki West Hotel and most recently, at the OHANA Waikiki East Hotel. Yuk Hong will be moving to New York City to be closer to her two daughters and will be busy babysitting her granddaughter. Yuk Hong expressed her appreciation to the Kelley family and shared that she will miss the many friendships she has developed over the years. Yuk Hong also said thank you to Ella [Yuet Oy Au] and Joselyn [Valenzuela] for being so nice to her.
