The Outrigger ‘ohana gathered at the OHANA East’s Princess Ka‘iulani Room on Tuesday, January 13, to honor and recognize Employees of the Quarter for the Fourth Quarter. Barry Wallace, Dr. Chuck Kelley, and Department Heads extended their congratulations and offered words of praise to all of the distinguished honorees and nominees.Eric Ishikawa - Human Resources Coordinator
Eric currently works in the Human Resources department, where he is the ultimate team player. No task is too small or too big for Eric, as he eagerly takes on every assignment with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Eric recently successfully completed two projects, the revamping of the Human Resources Intranet website and the implementation of ADP, an Internet-based web recruiting tool. His willingness to learn makes him an invaluable member of our ‘ohana.

Amanda Evangelista - Room Attendant
Amanda currently works at the Outrigger Fairway Villas. She takes pride in her work and is very detail- oriented. Amanda consistently produces the highest quality work. She is well liked by guests and always goes the extra mile providing them with exceptional service. A team player, Amanda leads by example and exemplifies the values of Ke ‘Ano Wa‘a in all she does. She continually strives to do things right the first time and every time.

Monserio “Mon” Lacuata – Lead Maintenance
Mon is a 25-year Outrigger veteran who currently works at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach. He is a team player who willingly shares his time and knowledge with his coworkers. Mon played an integral part in the completion of the Outrigger Reef pool renovation. He leads by example and exemplifies the values of Ke ‘Ano Wa‘a in all he does.

Katrina Smith – Porter
Katrina currently works at the Outrigger Twin Towns Resort, where she is known for her Aloha Spirit. She embodies all the values of Ke ‘Ano Wa‘a in all she does. She is well liked by our guests and always goes the extra mile to extend the Aloha Spirit. Katrina is a true asset to our company and is appreciated for all she does.

Josef Javonillo – Housekeeper II
Josef currently works at the Outrigger Waikiki Shore Resort, where he is the ultimate team player. If help is needed in other departments, Josef can be counted on to help out and still complete his regular duties. He is enthusiastic and committed — all of which are reflected in the quality of his work. Josef leads by example and exemplifies the values of Ke ‘Ano Wa‘a in all he does.

Alvin Pinoliar – General Cleaner
Alvin currently works at the Outrigger at Lae Nani, where he is well respected by his coworkers and supervisors. He continually promotes a positive work environment and is the ultimate team player. His commitment to Outrigger’s values, especially Kuleana (Responsibility) and Kina‘ole (Flawlessness) is seen in the quality of his work. He is a true asset to our ‘ohana.

Rommel Vaquilar – Bell Person
Rommel currently works at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach, where he strives to provide the best service possible. He is well liked by guests and coworkers and always shares his Aloha Spirit. He is always willing to go the extra mile and help whenever needed — he is the ultimate team player. Rommel is an outstanding member of our ‘ohana.
Emilio “Emi” Marlang – Bell Person
Emi currently works at the OHANA Waikiki Beachcomber, where he is a 30-year veteran. He best exemplifies the values of ‘Ohana (Family) and Aloha, as he treats his peers and guests with respect. Emi is well-respected by his coworkers and supervisors for his hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. Emi is an outstanding member of our ‘ohana.

Josie Rivera – Housekeeper I
Josie is a 21-year Outrigger veteran, who currently works at the Embassy Suites® – Waikiki Beach Walk®, where her Aloha Spirit is evident in all she does. Josie is hardworking and dedicated, all of which are reflected in the quality of her work. She is proactive and can be counted on to go above and beyond the call of duty.

Alfredo Galiza – Bell Person
Alfredo currently works at the OHANA Waikiki West, where he is known for his contagious smile and friendly attitude. He consistently performs his work to the highest standards and willing goes above and beyond the call of duty. Alfredo’s commitment to Outrigger’s values, especially Aloha, make him an invaluable member of our ‘ohana.

Eduardo Cadavona – Utility CleanerEduardo currently works at the Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation Resort, where he is known for his smile and enthusiasm. He exemplifies the value of Kuleana (Accountability) by always taking responsibility for getting his area completed. Eduardo takes pride in all he does and makes sure his job is done the right way, the first time. Eduardo is a true asset to our company.

Albert Kahookaulana – Guest Service Agent
Albert currently works at the Outrigger Kona Hawaiian Resort, where he is well respected by guests and coworkers because of his Aloha Spirit and positive and professional attitude. He consistently exceeds our guests’ expectations and is always willing to help wherever he can. Albert is an outstanding member of our ‘ohana and an invaluable asset to our company.

Helene Kahaunaele-Akiona – Operations Administrator
Helene currently works at the Outrigger Waipouli Beach Resort, where she is known for her “can do” attitude. She is always going above and beyond the call of duty to assist her coworkers and guests. Helene believes in the values of Ke ‘Ano Wa‘a and continually demonstrates our values of Aloha and Kina‘ole (Flawlessness), which make her a great asset to our company.

Rosie Rosete – Control Clerk
Rosie is a 31-year Outrigger veteran who currently works at the OHANA Waikiki East. She is a team player, who goes out of her way to assist her coworkers and guests. Rosie has a “can do” attitude and can be counted to assist whenever needed. She takes pride in all she does and is a true Mea Ho‘okipa (Host). Rosie is a great asset to our ‘ohana.

Elizabeth “Liz” Quero – Room Attendant
Liz currently works at the Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff, where she takes pride in all she does. She is detail- oriented, reliable, and very dependable — all of which are reflected in the quality of her work. Liz is well respected by her coworkers and supervisors for her hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence.

Sharon Lee – Control Clerk
Sharon currently works at the Wyland Waikiki. Her exceptional ability to multi-task allows her to get the job done right, the first time. She always goes above and beyond the call of duty and it is reflected in the quality of her work. Sharon is well respected by her coworkers and is an invaluable member of our ‘ohana.

Salvador “Sal” Antonio - General Maintenance
Antonio currently works at the OHANA Waikiki Malia. His extensive knowledge in all area of maintenance enables him to quickly assess situations and make informed decisions. He is well respected by his coworkers because of his “can do” attitude and willingness to assist whenever needed. Sal leads by example and exemplifies the values of Ke ‘Ano Wa‘a in all he does.

Tom Seeton – Sr. Wholesale Reservations Agent
Tom currently works at the Outrigger Worldwide Contact Center. He is a very dedicated and loyal member of our ‘ohana who truly cares about our guests and his coworkers. In 2008, Tom was truly outstanding, as he had perfect attendance, along with a 100 percent call monitor score. Tom leads by example and is a true asset to our company.

Jonathan Clarin – General Maintenance
Jonathan currently works at the Wyndham Waikiki Beach Walk®. He is committed, innovative, and enthusiastic — all of which are reflected in the quality of his work. Jonathan continually shares his ideas and always looks at ways to improve existing processes. A true team player, Jonathan is an invaluable member of our ‘ohana.
