The Outrigger ‘ohana gathered at the OHANA East’s Princess Ka‘iulani Room on Tuesday, October 14, to honor and recognize Employees of the Quarter for the Third Quarter of 2008. Dr. Richard Kelley, Ruthann Yamanaka, and Department Heads extended their congratulations and offered words of praise to all of the distinguished honorees and nominees.

Susan Park - Control Clerk

Susan is a 27-year Outrigger veteran who currently works at the Wyndham Waikiki Beach Walk®. She is creative, enthusiastic, and committed—all of which are reflected in the quality of her work. Susan is a team player who willingly helps out wherever needed. Her commitment to excellence enables her to exceed our guest’s expectations. Susan truly is the essence of hard work and dedication.

Donnella Frantz - Data Analyst

Donnella is a 21-year Outrigger veteran who currently works in the IT department. She is very committed to her job and it is reflected in the quality of her work. Donnella treats everyone with respect and her Aloha Spirit is evident in all she does. When challenges arise, she is always there to help and recommend a solution. Donnella is a true asset to our company and is appreciated for all she does.

Arnold Agustin - Lead Maintenance

Arnold, 20-year Outrigger veteran, currently works at Embassy Suites® – Waikiki Beach Walk®. His extensive knowledge in all areas of maintenance enables him to quickly assess situations and make informed decisions. He has earned the respect of his coworkers because he willingly shares his knowledge with them and ensures that things are done the right way, the first time. Arnold is an outstanding member of our ‘ohana.

Sandra Schenk - Guest Service Agent

Sandra currently works at Outrigger Twin Towns Resort, where she exemplifies the values of Mea Ho‘okipa (Host) and ‘Ohana (Family) by always ensuring that all departments are fully informed about guest’s requirements. She is also a very patient teacher who guides new team members and makes them feel welcome. Sandra is an outstanding member of our ‘ohana and an invaluable asset to our company.

Mildred Bunghanoy-Aiu - Property Accountant

Mildred currently works at the Outrigger Kanaloa at Kona where her knowledge, professionalism, and outstanding performance sets her apart. She goes the extra mile for guests and owners to ensure their questions are answered promptly, and assists them in anyway she can. Mildred’s exemplary level of customer service and unending support of the company make her an invaluable member of our ‘ohana.

Philip Milana, Jr. - General Cleaner

Philip, a 22-year veteran, currently works at the Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff. He unselfishly shares the knowledge and skills he has developed over the years with his fellow team members and supervisors. When challenges arise, he is always there to recommend a solution. Philip is well-respected by his coworkers and supervisors for this hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence.

Sherlynn Langinbolang - Room Attendant

Sherlynn currently works at the Outrigger Fairway Villas, where she is well-respected by guests and coworkers because of her Aloha Spirit and positive and professional attitude. She consistently performs her work to the highest standards and willingly goes above and beyond the call of duty. Sherlynn’s commitment to Outrigger’s values, especially Kina‘ole (Flawlessness) makes her an invaluable member of our ‘ohana.

Roy Beppu - General Maintenance

Roy, a 25-year Outrigger veteran, currently works at the OHANA Waikiki West, where he takes pride in his work. He can always be counted on to share his knowledge and skills with coworkers, and assist with various projects. He best represents the value of Kina‘ole (Flawlessness) as evident by his exacting standards and high-quality of work. Roy leads by example and exemplifies the values of Ke ‘Ano Wa‘a in all he does.

Fernando Siliezar - Guest Service Representative

Fernando currently works at the Wyland Waikiki, where he is known for his smile and friendly personality. He is always willing to help whenever needed and is the ultimate team player. He is well-liked by our guests and always goes the extra mile to extend the Aloha Spirit. Fernando has an enthusiasm for life that spills into his professional career, which makes him a great asset to our company.

John Bumanglag - Security Officer

John currently works at the Outrigger Lae Nani, where he is well-known for his positive attitude and exceptional organizational skills. He continually strives to increase his knowledge in different areas. He practices the values of Ke ‘Ano Wa‘a, especially Kina‘ole (Flawlessness) and can always be counted on to gets the job done the right way, the first time. John’s willingness to learn makes him an invaluable member of our team.

Jenny Pang - Guest Service Representative

Jenny currently works at the OHANA Waikiki Beachcomber, where she is a 14-year veteran. She consistently provides our guests with the highest level of service. Jenny willingly shares her knowledge with new hires and mentors them on all aspects of Front Desk operations. Her ability to make decisions with confidence combined with her understanding of our company’s goals make Jenny an invaluable member of our ‘ohana.

Benjamin Ranada - Housekeeping II

Benjamin, an 18-year veteran, currently works at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach. He best exemplifies the value of Kina‘ole (Flawlessness) as he has great eye for detail and has a proactive nature in all he does. When challenges arise, he is always there to recommend a solution. Benjamin’s positive attitude, along with his outstanding work skills, allow him to get the job done the right away, the first time.

Estefania “Ester” Angeles - Housekeeper I

Ester is a 20-year Outrigger veteran who currently works at the Outrigger Regency On Beachwalk. She always performs her work to the highest standards. Ester is organized, prompt, and efficient—all of which are reflected in the quality of her work. She well respected by her coworkers because of her “can do” attitude and willingness to assist whenever needed. Ester leads by example and exemplifies the values of Ke ‘Ano Wa‘a in all she does.

Her commitment to Kina‘ole (Flawlessness) enables her to perform her duties the right way, the first time, and with minimal supervision. She has a warm and cheerful personality and always treats everyone with kindness and respect. Fida is a true Mea Ho‘okipa (Host) and provides guests with the highest level of guest service.

Vladimir “Vlad” Diaz - Front Desk Clerk

Vlad currently works at the Outrigger Aina Nalu. His contagious Aloha Spirit and commitment to excellence enables him to provide our guests with the highest-level of customer service. He is a team player who willingly shares his time and knowledge with his coworkers. Over the past year he has continued to grow and has emerged a leader. Vlad exemplifies Outrigger’s Values in all he does.

Kahealani “Tuni” Paik - Guest Service Agent

Tuni currently works at the Outrigger Waipouli Beach, where she is a true Me‘a Ho‘okipa (host). She provides guests with the highest-level of service and always receives compliments. Tuni enjoys sharing her knowledge of the Hawaiian culture and answering any questions guests might have. When challenges arise, Tuni is there to help and recommend a solution. She is a great asset to our ‘ohana.

Lono Padilla - Front Desk Supervisor

Lono currently works at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach, where he provides our guests with the highest-level of guest service. Lono is committed to Outrigger’s values and is an Alaka‘i for the Ke ‘Ano Wa‘a process. As part of the Paddle 2, Lono composed and choreographed a Hawaiian chant and hula specifically for the Outrigger Waikiki. Lono is an outstanding member of our ‘ohana.

Rachel Compoz-Montoya
Sr. Wholesale Reservation Agent

Rachel currently works at the Outrigger Worldwide Contact Center, where her performance is consistently above average. She has proven her dedication to our customers over and over by providing them with the highest-level of customer service. Rachel, who earned her Sr. Agent status earlier this year, exemplifies the values of Ke ‘Ano Wa’a in all she does and is truly a great asset to the Wholesale department and the company.
