The familia (family) of the Outrigger Guam Resort is proud to recognize Richard Caliboso, James Ueno, and Leo Pangelinan, who received training scholarships from the Guam Hotel & Restaurant Association.
Richard and James, Cooks from our Kitchen Team, were awarded training scholarships from the Guam Hotel & Restaurant Association and the Micronesian Chef’s Association. Richard and James will spend ten days at the International School of Culinary Arts & Hotel Management in the Philippines learning basic cooking skills and ways to enhance their current cooking methods.

Leo, the Outrigger Guam Resort Koko Kids Club Coordinator, was recently awarded a training scholarship from the ASO College of Fukuoka, Japan, and the Guam Hotel & Restaurant Association. Leo, along with two other scholarship winners, spent a week in Japan, experiencing Japanese hospitality and learning about tourism trends.

The accomplishments of our familia members are a testament to two of our values of Inafa’maolek, “Adilanto (Progress)…we view each challenge as an opportunity to learn, improve, and excel…recognizing that as good as we are, we can always be better” and “Minagof (Happiness)…we rejoice everyday as we reach our goals, celebrate our accomplishments, and share our happiness with all.” Please join us in congratulating Richard, James, and Leo on their achievements!
