Kelvin Bloom, Cristiana Mamuad and Mufi Hannemann

The lodging and tourism industry gathered together last week to honor and recognize Hawai‘i’s top “shining stars” for 2011.  All were recognized at The Hawai‘i Lodging & Tourism Association’s 22nd Annual Na Po‘e Pa‘ahana Awards Recognition Luncheon held at the Sheraton Waikiki Resort’s Hawai‘i Ballroom on Friday, January 13. It was a proud moment as our honorees stood on stage and received accolades for their hard work and dedication to the visitor industry.

President & CEO, Mufi Hannemann extended his congratulations and offered words of praise to all of the distinguished honorees and finalists. Emcees and radio personalities Shannon Scott and Lina Girl kept the over 750 in attendance entertained with their humorous antics, while keeping the program on pace.

Congratulations to our very own Cristiana Mamuad who was a semi-finalist in the Housekeeper of the Year category, and a big shout-out to all of our shining stars at this year’s Na Po‘e Pa‘ahana Recognition Luncheon. Mahalo to each one of you for making Hawai‘i a special place to work, live and visit.
