This past week marked another important milestone for our new Outrigger University. The second class to complete the Outrigger ‘s new Management Fundamentals training program graduated after a lot of hard work and intense studying. Supervisors from around the company spent the last 13 weeks learning about Outrigger’s new Leadership Competencies and the supervisory skills necessary to be a successful Outrigger manager. Working closely with Learning Biz and Kapiolani Community College (KCC), Outrigger created customized curriculum based on the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s Certified Hospitality Supervisor material. Throughout the course, the participants also worked on a Career Path Development Plan to help them identify career goals and developmental opportunities to reach those goals. Everyone is now studying hard to take the AHLA Certified Hospitality Supervisor certification test that will enable them to add the prestigious CHS designation to their title!
