By Lois Shore    The Outrigger Reef on the Beach and the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach were each recently honored by top tour operator Apple Vacations with the prestigious Golden Apple Award. Cindy Cunningham, Outrigger’s Business Development Director for the Midwest, accepted the awards on behalf of the hotels at a luncheon ceremony held on September 15, 2009, at the Drury Lane Theatre in Chicago.

According to Mark Noennig, Vice President and General Manager of Apple Vacations, “When you select a Golden Apple hotel, you can be assured that you’ve made an outstanding choice! Every year, our vacationers honor a select group of hotels with our Golden Apple Hotel Award. This award is given to those hotels who have earned exceptional ratings on our Vacation Satisfaction Questionnaires, completed by Apple vacationers upon their return home.
