BY DONNA PARKIN — Twenty-two Bebe Spa hosts bravely bared their arm for a good cause as part of the annual departmental community Blood Drive project at Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort on March 8.

The blood donors were joined by nine others who signed up to ensure an adequate blood supply was on hand in case of emergency.

Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort believes that everyone working in the hospitality industry needs to maintain their health and wellness, so a full medical and dental check was also organized for all hosts participating in the Blood Drive as part of this on-going community project.

These checks included Pap smears; medical, physiotherapist and dietician consultations; eye and dental check ups; cholesterol and glucose screenings; and height and weight measurements.

Bebe Spa hosts thanked Sigatoka Hospital staff for volunteering their time to provide the medical checks and the resort management for its support and encouragement of the community project which grows in size each year.
