By Kathy Hansberry — Fun flicks will be playing poolside this summer at Embassy Suites® - Waikiki Beach Walk®, starting with a showing of “Top Gun” on Friday, July 3, at 8 p.m. Playing on the resort’s Grand Lanai, the movie will be shown on a screen of grand proportion — 10 feet by 14 feet in size.
Resort guests, kama‘aina, and island visitors are invited to kick-off Independence Day weekend by jumping into red, white, and blue inflatable rafts and watching the movie from the pool, or watching poolside from one of the resort’s chaise lounges. (Seating is limited and on a space available basis.) Viewers may order a selection of cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks during the show, as well as an assortment of pupus from the poolside Pakini Bar.
Limited space is available, so be sure to arrive early to secure a spot. Valet parking is $6 for up to four hours at Embassy Suites – Waikiki Beach Walk, (201 Beachwalk) and Wyndham at Waikiki Beach Walk (227 Lewers Street), with any same-day purchase from the Pakini Bar at Embassy Suites - Waikiki Beach Walk or any other Waikiki Beach Walk merchant.
