Hoi Hou Ke Aloha – Saying I love you Hawaiian-style

BY LUANA MAITLAND — Guests at the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort and Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort were treated to a Hawaiian Vow Renewal Ceremony on the beach in celebration of Valentine’s Day on Sunday, Feb. 14, at 8 a.m.

The couples shared an intimate moment as they exchanged a special vow in Hawaiian to each other:

Aloha au ia oe, no keia la, no keia po, a mau loa.
I love you, from this day, from this night, forever more.

E pili mai aloha kaua.
We two will cling to love together.

Aloha aku no, aloha mai no.
I give my love to you, you give your love to me.

Mahalo o ke Akua no keia la.
Thanks be to God for this day.

The ceremony concluded with a hula, a complimentary photo and a glass of Champagne.

Yet another one of Outrigger’s authentic experiences, true to our heritage and the spirit and culture of Hawaii and offered from the heart.
