December 20 – The Honolulu Boy Choir
Roy and Nyle Hallman founded the Honolulu Boy Choir in 1974. The group is made up of boys ages 7-13, representing Hawaii’s distinctive rainbow of cultures and all socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds. Seventy-five boys from over 45 public and private schools throughout the island of Oahu are in the Choir, which actually consists of three groups—the Beginning Choir, the Performing Choir, and the Select Choir—each characterized by vocal quality and range. The Honolulu Boy Choir is a tuition-free musical performance education program for boys that embraces cultural diversity and allows young boys who have had no prior singing experience the opportunity to perform all over the world.
Valet parking for up to four hours is available for $6 at the Embassy Suites – Waikiki Beach Walk (201 Beachwalk) and the Wyndham Waikiki Beach Walk (227 Lewers Street) with any same-day purchase from any Waikiki Beach Walk merchant.
