On Thursday, April 23, the Outrigger Hotels Hawaii Political Action Committee (OHH PAC) presented a check for $2,500 to Polly Kauahi, Director of Development at Hawaii Foodbank. The OHH PAC Committee decided to do this in lieu of hosting the annual gathering with Hawaii State Politicians.

According to Polly, nearly ten percent of the Hawaii State population receives some sort of food or assistance from the Hawaii Foodbank. The organization now distributes nearly nine million pounds of food per year, including one million pounds of produce. It serves 250 charitable agencies, representing 289 feeding programs across Oahu.
