In an effort to help local schools raise much-needed funds for materials and equipment, the Guam Telephone Authority initiated a “phonebook roundup” fundraising. Each participating school must collect and submit old phonebooks to GTA to be eligible to win. The top three schools who collect and submit the most phonebooks will receive $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000, respectively. The Outrigger Guam Resort participated in this drive by donating 800, 2008 phonebooks to the FB Leon Guerrero Middle School. Outrigger Guam Resort’s Hotel Manager John Wigsten, Purchasing Manager & Recycling Chairperson for the hotel Cano Collazo-Cruz, and Executive Housekeeper Nena Ratuita presented FB Leon Guerrero Middle School science teacher Mr. Lali Thundiyil with phonebooks to add to their growing collection.
The Outrigger Guam Resort wishes FB Leon Guerrero good luck in their fundraising endeavors.
