Outrigger on the Lagoon-Fiji Volleyball Team Takes the Bronze and the Gold!

The Outrigger on the Lagoon-Fiji (FOR) was well represented at the Annual Fiji Hotel Worker Volleyball Tournament held on Saturday, November 7. This popular event has grown over the last sixteen years to become a major highlight for the local hotel industry. The tournament encourages hotel workers from all over the country to interact and socialize with each other, while participating in some friendly competition.

Standing: Team Manager Kelepi Kinivuwai Bali, Mika Dreu, Jioji Liwaiono, Bose Wara, Koroi Tui, Mala, Rupeni Waqa, and Michael Osborne.

The FOR entered three teams (Men, Women, and Mixed), who had much to live up to, since both the Outrigger Men’s Team and the Outrigger Mixed Team were the defending champions for the last five years. The Outrigger Men came in third and proudly received Bronze medals. The Outrigger Mixed Team beat all 24 teams in their category and was awarded the Tanoa trophy and Gold medals.
