Outrigger Tennis Tournament raises funds for Outrigger’s ‘Share4Change’ project

BY TONI PEDRONI — The Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort’s (TLR) third annual Charity Tennis Tournament was held on March 5 and 6 at the resort’s Tennis Centre. The tournament brought together 70 players from Phuket and the neighbouring provinces of Trang, Songkhla, Phang-Nga, Krabi and Surathani, who all participated in an effort to raise money for the Baan Khok Wat Mai School.

Three doubles competitions were held over two days for intermediate players, an over 80-combined age event and an open tournament. Thanks to the support of our sponsors and all who participated, the two-day event raised a generous amount for the Outrigger ‘Share4Change’ CSR initiative.

The ‘Share4Change’ initiative is a collaboration between our two Phuket resorts and the APAC regional team to support a local school in desperate need of funding and support. Funds raised at the tennis tournament and other activities will be used for various projects including the renovation of the school canteen that will start at the end of March.
