On Friday, February 20, the Outrigger ‘ohana joined together to wish Nerie Hernandez a fond aloha. It was Nerie’s 3,711 day with the company! In that time, she has grown to know many of the owners and frequent return guests, many of whom have come to count on Nerie to make their stay at the Outrigger at Lae Nani special.

When asked what she’ll be doing as a young retiree, she replied with her usual shy smile, “Just not come to work!” Her family convinced Nerie to retire because they felt it was her time to enjoy life and be waited on.

Thank you, Nerie, for your years of dedication and service — we will miss your kind words and gentle smile. Mahalo and a hui hou!
