Denver Reservations Celebrates the Holidays

By Kathy Sylvester

The Denver Reservations Worldwide Contact Center was excited to have our first Holiday Party. In years past, we have organized company picnics; however, we decided to change it up this year and have a special get-together for the holidays. With an attendance of about 80, many employees had the opportunity to meet their fellow ‘ohana members. We were also pleased to have Dr. Richard Kelley and Linda Kelley join us for the festive occasion.

The event was held at the Hilton Garden Inn Airport Hotel and began with musician Keoni Coelho performing holiday songs both traditional and Hawaiian that got everyone in the holiday spirit. After some socializing, the hotel served a wonderful buffet dinner of salad, prime rib, mashed potatoes, and broccoli and of course, a terrific array of desserts.

As dinner was winding down and desserts enjoyed, Dr. Kelley said a few motivating words and shared wonderful stories of Linda Kelley and his family. In addition, he thanked the Denver ‘ohana for their hard work and dedication and reminded everyone that many times, they are the first connection with our guests and thanked them for their terrific Aloha Spirit.

Then, Santa (aka Bill Peters), handed out gift bags to all the employees’ children who had a great time playing with the toys. Later, Santa walked amongst the crowd and greeted the children and adults alike.

It was a wonderful evening and many employees were pleased to meet each other’s families. Since we all work from home, it was especially nice to see each other in a social setting and to spend some time catching up with one another.

Mahalo nui loa to the Hilton Garden Inn for their terrific hospitality and to Dr. Kelley for his inspiring words. We look forward to next year’s event!
