I am pleased to announce that Kani Ka Pila Grille will be open to the public on March 19, beginning at 11 a.m. Located at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach, Kani Ka Pila Grille is the newest venue for live entertainment, great food, and drink in Waikiki. The Grille is a fantastic addition to the Outrigger Reef and to Waikiki Beach Walk® — guests and locals will now have even greater dining and entertainment options in the area.

I am also pleased to announce the new management staff that has done a great job in preparing the Grille for opening; Robert Bauer has been named Restaurant Manager, Harold Beltran takes the helm of Kitchen Manager, and Makoto Nakasone is on board as the Assistant Restaurant Manager. Outrigger veteran Luana Maitland will also assume a new position as an “Ambassador of Aloha.” Please join me in welcoming the new managers and their entire staff.

Kanikapila means ‘let’s play music;’ people can expect a great line-up of music every night.” says Restaurant Manager Robert Bauer. “Our entertainment line-up is an exciting one with Cyril Pahinui, Weldon Kekuoha, Kawika Kahiapo and Martin Pahinui, Kaukahi, Manoa DNA, Kimo Kahoano and son Kamuela Kahoano, plus many more.”

All-day dining will begin at 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, with live entertainment from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. nightly. To complement the great musicians, there is a wonderful menu selection of local favorites, including the Reef’s pupu sampler, Kani Ka Pila burger, and banana lumpia, just to name a few.
