Exceptional Dining
The Vale Ni Kana restaurant at the Outrigger on the Lagoon – Fiji (FOR) offers guests casual dining amidst beautiful traditional Fijian architecture. To add to the dining experience, the restaurant now offers Italian Night on Mondays and Pacific Grill Night on Fridays. In addition to the delicious cuisine, guests are entertained by local singer Ofa Ali, accompanied by guitarist Tewala.

Sharing the Bula Spirit
The FOR was pleased to welcome Australian Boxer Danny “The Green Machine” Green and his family. Green has been in training for his upcoming rematch against world champion Anthony Mundine and decided to get away and spend some time with his family. Green has fought and defeated many of Fiji’s top boxers, including Paula Tuilau, Waka, Kolinio Vasu, and Manueli Delainabua and said that even though he knocked out all of his Fijian opponents, he felt the natural power in their punches. Green, his wife Nina, and children Archie and Chloe, took advantage of the many amenities the FOR has to offer. Green said he was really happy with the on-premise gym and the whole family enjoyed kayaking. The Greens said they enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, excellent customer service, and Bula Spirit that everyone shared with them.

Education and Training
Ongoing training and education is an important part of FOR’s and Outrigger’s core values, and we believe in creating opportunities for mutual learning and empowerment that lead to personal and organizational growth and development. The FOR offers training in many areas and often welcomes outside organizations to assist in this training. Recently, the FOR welcomed representatives from the International Labour Organization (ILO), who presented information on the importance of personal health issues.
