This past week marked an important milestone for our new Outrigger University. The very first class to complete the new Outrigger Management Fundamentals training program graduated after a lot of hard work and intense studying. Supervisors from around the company spent the last 12 weeks learning about Outrigger’s new Leadership Competencies and the supervisory skills necessary to be a successful Outrigger manager. Working closely with Learning Biz and Kapiolani Community College (KCC), Outrigger created customized curriculum based on the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s Supervision in the Hospitality Industry course. Throughout the course, the participants also worked on a Career Path Development Plan to help them identify career goals and developmental opportunities to reach those goals. At the end of the course, the participants were also required to pass a written exam. And we are proud to say that all the graduates have signed up to take the AHLA Certified Hospitality Supervisor certification test that will enable them to add the prestigious CHS designation to their titles!
Congratulations to the following graduates: Josefina Ader, Ronnie Cabo, Amante Castro, Carnita Encomienda, Jason Fujimoto, Marsha Kapu, Sandy Lee, Sean Ling, Leonida Lumantas, Primie Marzan, Reyn Nakamasu, Nenita Nerveza, Joel Ono, Meali’i Richardson, Edna Salvador, Windy Seguancia, Denise Torres, Mercy Valdez, Ofelia Valdez, Joselyn Valenzuela, Taryn Wong, and Jo-Ann Yonamine.
On behalf of Outrigger, we are proud of your hard work and dedication to improve yourself and make Outrigger an even better place to work! Congratulations!
