By Burton Kong — When Embassy Suites® - Waikiki Beach Walk® joined the Pacific Business Connection (PBC) corporate travel program in February, member companies were given another choice of upscale business accommodations at Waikiki’s only all-suite resort.
This new enhancement to PBC was celebrated with a festive mahalo cocktail reception and trade show held April 3 at the Ala Moana Hotel and attended by more than 70 representatives from 43 member companies. It was the second time this event was held, providing members the opportunity to socialize with their hotel representatives in a festive and informative environment.
Attendees learned about the latest accommodations, property updates, and special offers at Outrigger Hotels & Resorts, Outrigger Condominium Collection, OHANA Hotels & Resorts, OHANA Honolulu Airport Hotel, Embassy Suites® - Waikiki Beach Walk®, The Wyland Waikiki, and the Ala Moana Hotel (managed by ALM Management Services LLC, an Outrigger-affiliated company).
To complement the announcement, Waikiki Beach Walk® merchants and restaurants displayed their products, including Hawaiian Moon, Maui Divers Jewelry, Mana Hawaii, Giovanni Pastrami, Roy’s Waikiki, and Ruth’s Chris Steak House. Outrigger Enterprises Group’s partners Hawaiian Airlines and Dollar Rent a Car and Jimmy Buffett’s at the Beachcomber also attended, along with Go Airlines and Mokulele Airlines.
Attendees were treated to delicious pupus catered by the Ala Moana Hotel, food samples from upscale Waikiki Beach Walk® restaurants, and live entertainment by Kanilau, who plays nightly at Embassy Suites® - Waikiki Beach Walk®. Door prizes galore were also given away, including polo shirts, tote bags, jackets, dining certificates, rental car vouchers, hotel room nights, and inter-island airfare.
The event was well-received by attendees. Here is a comment from Wendy Yim of Progressive Marketing Inc. “Thank you for a wonderful mahalo reception yesterday. The tradeshow was very informative and the food excellent. It was nice seeing old friends and making new acquaintances.” Wendy was a lucky winner of a two-night stay at The Wyland Waikiki.
