By Una Murray — The vuvale (family) at the Outrigger on the Lagoon - Fiji gathered last week to bid long-time employee Permal Sami a fond farewell after 29 years of service at the property. Permal started in 1980 as a Joiner at the Reef Resort, as the property was originally known. He was then promoted to Assistant Building and Maintenance Supervisor and kept that position until the Reef Resort was closed for renovation in 1998. When the resort re-opened as the Outrigger on the Lagoon – Fiji in 2000, Permal was re-hired as the Assistant Building & Maintenance Supervisor, and in 2003, he was promoted to Building & Maintenance Supervisor.
On behalf of the entire Outrigger family, we wish Permal much happiness and success in his retirement — you will be missed!
