Aloha, Chuck Kelley

I am pleased to announce that Charles (Chuck) Roy Kelley, M.D. will join the Outrigger ‘ohana on October 1. Chuck will begin an executive management development program in the hospitality business.

Chuck is the oldest son of Richard R. Kelley. A graduate of the University of Hawaii School of Medicine and the University of North Carolina School of Public Health, he has worked for Straub Clinic and Hospital, specializing in industrial medicine. He has also been a consultant to Outrigger’s Human Resources department, assisting with employee health and safety issues.

With his career interests now fully focused on the Kelley family business, Chuck follows in his father’s footsteps by leaving the practice of medicine to become a hotelier. The transition should be an easy one for Chuck because he has spent so much of his life around our hotels, served on Outrigger’s board of directors, and has worked closely with many of our employees.

Chuck has been married to Jenny for 17 years, and they have two children, 14-year-old Jane and 12-year-old Robby. When Chuck isn’t busy working, he relaxes by surfing, fishing and carving wood statues.
