Jean Rolles Honored

Since 1991, the Aloha Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals has celebrated National Philanthropy Day by recognizing outstanding philanthropic contributions and activities of people and business across the state. This year, Jean Rolles, Outrigger’s Vice President of Community Relations, was honored with the organization’s Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser award.

The presentation was made during the National Philanthropy Day Luncheon held on November 16 at the Sheraton Waikiki. Over 600 people were in attendance to see Jean accept one of only six awards presented that day.

Chaminade University, Honolulu Boy Choir, Japan-America Society and The Nature Conservancy of Hawaii nominated Jean for this award, but she could have just as easily been nominated by any of a dozen organizations for which she serves as trustee. Jean is a dedicated advocate for the organizations she serves and their successes are a credit to her stamina, commitment, efficiency and generosity of time.

Congratulations Jean! You are certainly deserving of this honor and the Outrigger ‘ohana joins me in expressing our gratitude for making our island home a better place to live and to raise our families.
