I join Human Resources in welcoming Kevin Wills to the position of Director of Food & Beverage of the Outrigger Wailea Resort.
Kevin has over 15 years of experience in food and beverage and restaurant operations. He’s worked in both large and small operations in different resort destinations, so we couldn’t have asked for a better candidate.
Just prior to joining Outrigger, he was Director of Food & Beverage for the Mirage at Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi, a 1,700- room resort, casino, marina and spa with 12 food and beverage venues.
Kevin also spent nine years with Hyatt Hotels. Much of that time was spent on Maui. He started at the Hyatt Regency Maui in 1985, then moved to the opening team of the Grand Hyatt Wailea in 1991. Two years later, he transferred to Mexico to assume the position of Director of Food & Beverage for the Hyatt Regency Guadalajara.
In 1995, Kevin returned to Maui when he became Vice President and Managing Partner of Manoalana Inc., a restaurant management company operating the 300-seat restaurant/showroom Ukulele Grill in Kihei, Maui, a position he held before his move to the Beau Rivage Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Kevin is a graduate of the University of Hawaii with a degree in tourism and resort management from the School of Travel Industry Management. He is also a member of the prestigious culinary organization of Chaine des Rotisseurs.
We’re delighted to have a food and beverage professional of Kevin’s caliber at the Outrigger Wailea Resort. He and his wife Bertha and their daughter Vanessa are quickly settling in and are delighted to be back on Maui.
