Outrigger has once again excelled at the Fiji Chefs Culinary Awards, winning 29 medals and all three major awards. For the third year in a row, the chefs from Outrigger on the Lagoon Fiji have proven they are unquestionably the Food & Beverage leader in five-star resorts in the South Pacific.
Combine this accomplishment with their recent success at WA Oceanafest 2005, and they are definitely making their mark in the Australasia Pacific region. We are all very proud of such a fantastic achievement from a young indigenous team.
Team Outrigger took 29 medals in total, including 7 gold, 13 silver, and 9 bronze. They also took the three most coveted awards — Fiji Chef of the Year – Rukshana Ali; Junior Chef of the Year – Veenal Reddy; and Pastry Chef of the Year – Sainivalati Tavaga.
