BY PAUL RICHARDSON — I am pleased to join human resources in congratulating our training manager at the Outrigger Koh Samui Beach Resort, Sirikarn ‘Dao’ Aud-Nhunphan, on her promotion to human resources and training manager, effective immediately. Khun Dao reports to Marc Landgraf, general manager.
Dao joined the Outrigger ‘ohana as training manager in August and since that time has done very well in ensuring each new host is properly inducted and has sufficient training.
She brings to Outrigger extensive experience from former roles as assistant training manager and language teacher at Kamalaya (Resort) in Koh Samui. Dao also has solid management experience in housekeeping with other hotel brands such as Movenpick in Phuket and Four Seasons in Chiang Mai in the north of Thailand and in hotel call centers, front office roles and tour operator sales.
An arts graduate from Silapakorn University in Bangkok, Dao has been in the hospitality industry for 12 years.
Dao believes that doing good deeds is important and reaps rewards in time; is inspired by the positive life works and deeds of King Bhumibol of Thailand; and likes to surround herself with positive people. She doesn’t have a travel bucket list but prefers to practice meditation in a place of tranquility as is Buddhist tradition. On her nightstand is The New Earth by Eckhart Tolle, and her favorite movie is 21 Grams.
Please join me in congratulating Khun Dao and wishing her continued success at the Outrigger Koh Samui Beach Resort.
