Sixteen butlers (Talai) at the Outrigger on the Lagoon – Fiji recently completed an intensive two-week training course conducted by the Australian Butler School. The course covered many areas of guest service, including arrivals and departures, guest relations, valet service, in-room dining, and the very popular Sundown Service of champagne and canapés.
The Australian Butler School trains butlers in exclusive resorts in Asia and the Middle East, as well as Australia and the Pacific region. Australian Butlers take a contemporary approach to butler services by recognizing the demands and expectations of high worth individuals who are the guests at five- star properties. Emphasis is placed on local customs and the exclusivity of the property, which enhance the guest’s experience.
Now guests staying in Deluxe Ocean View rooms, suites, or bures may take advantage of our unique and
exclusive Talai Service—traditional five-star butler service with a South Pacific twist. Talai service includes complimentary welcome drinks, cold towel, and champagne and canapés delivered every afternoon to your room. Talai butlers are available to unpack and iron your clothing, recommend tours and activities, and make restaurant reservations. Our Talai butlers are trained to provide our guests with a style of hospitality that is truly a special feature of Outrigger on the Lagoon – Fiji.
The Australian Butler School presented the Talai who completed the training at FOR Certificates of Attainment.
Congratulations to all the Talai who worked hard to achieve this certification in order to better serve our guests – and make the Outrigger on the Lagoon – Fiji the place to stay.
