I join Human Resources in congratulating Roy Cordeiro as the newly-appointed Director of Sales & Marketing for The Wyland Waikiki, soon to be called Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach. Roy will assume his new role at the beginning of April and report to General Manager Jim Heather.

Roy moved from Maui to Oahu in 2004 to assume the role of Director of Sales & Marketing for our beachfront resorts, transferring from the Wailea Marriott, formerly the Outrigger Wailea Resort. He immediately immersed himself in the launch efforts for the newly-renovated Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach and similarly, the following year, for the Outrigger Reef on the Beach.

Roy’s Marriott brand experience will be invaluable, as The Wyland Waikiki transitions to the Courtyard by Marriott brand. His enthusiasm and sales and marketing expertise will soon have Marriott Rewards® program members and many others enjoying the stylishly-appointed accommodations at the Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach.
