Outrigger Reef hit another great milestone and unveiled its newly-renovated pool on Saturday, November 15. The beautifully-retiled pool and brand new pool deck opened ahead of schedule for all guests to enjoy.

Before the barriers were removed and the pool signs were even placed, hotel guest Logan Milne from Ontario, Canada, was already standing nearby with towel in hand and an excited look on his face to be the first to jump in. Parents Andrew and Dominique were pleased the pool opened ahead of schedule. Pool Attendant Thai Duy was on duty and ready to welcome the first guests.

The pool was last renovated in 2003, when underwater honu and tropical fish designs were affixed inside the pool. Today, the pool features brand new beautiful blue tiling and a large gold canoe icon in the center, carrying the voyaging theme through to the pool area. The sundeck was also completely removed and fitted with stunning new stone. In addition, the two whirlpool spas adjacent to the pool have been retiled and are now open for guest enjoyment.
In addition to the new pool facilities, upgraded pool services and cool drinking water are now available. Guests can also soak up the sun on brand new cushioned lounge chairs.

The transformation at the Outrigger Reef continues with construction of Kani Ka Pila Grille, new shops, and the renovated Serenity Spa. Little Glass Shack, a boutique sunglass shop, is in the works and slated to open in the coming months. Moonbow Tropics is also underway and will feature upscale island clothing. Kani Ka Pila Grille, the new poolside grill featuring live music, is moving forward rapidly and scheduled to open around March 1. The progress has been amazing, and the excitement continues to build, as we approach completion of the Outrigger Reef.
The Outrigger Reef continually receives fantastic guest feedback, proving that everyone has done an excellent job of providing our guests the highest level of customer service throughout the construction process. A sincere mahalo to the entire staff, whose hard work and dedication have enabled the Outrigger Reef to exceed our customers’ expectations during the renovation.
