On Friday, July 3, 2009, the Outrigger on the Lagoon – Fiji held its monthly celebration to honor its outstanding employees and to recognize members of the vuvale (family) who have celebrated birthdays. In addition, the winners of the “Biggest Loser Competition” were announced.
General Manager Darren Shaw thanked everyone for their commitment during the busy period and congratulated the Front Office, Food & Beverage, and Bebe Spa for achieving great results despite the difficulties faced in the past few months. He said he was very proud of the vuvale for working together to give our guests the highest level of service, complete with the Bula Spirit!
The Front Office team did a presentation of the Monthly Bula Spirit Community Service program. In June, the team conducted a fundraiser to assist Saint Joan of Arc Primary School with cleaning, painting, and fixing of some of its classrooms. The presentation was followed by the monthly staff awards for July. Darren Shaw presented the certificates and thanked the staff for the outstanding service they provided our guests.
The program concluded with birthday cake and congratulations all around.
